Whether you are a completionist hunting for all three endings or a first-time player clinging to your Resolve meter, Chapter 3 is where Jens Dilemma demands you put down the controller and ask yourself: What would you actually do?
The room has two doors. Door A leads to a debriefing room where Director Voss waits. Door B is a ventilation shaft that leads to the maintenance tunnels. But there is a catch: A screen on the wall displays a live feed of your best friend, Mira, being held in a similar room. A timer appears on screen: 5:00 minutes.
This is the first major mechanic of Chapter 3: The Clock of Complicity . Every action you take costs time. Waste time, and Mira’s Resolve meter depletes. If you chose to report the information to Director Voss in Chapter 2, Chapter 3 begins with Voss treating you like a prodigal son. He offers you coffee. You notice his hands are steady, inhumanly so.
Jens installs the selective filter. The prisoners (including Elara) are transferred to a hidden server farm in Switzerland. The volunteers are left to "retire" on schedule. Director Voss loses his job, but OmniCore survives. Dr. Thorne sends Jens a single message: "A half measure is worse than none." Unlocks: Haunted by Logic trait.
The chapter’s final line, displayed over a black screen after the credits roll, is haunting: "You saved everyone, Jens. But who saves you from what you’ve become?"
